Now that Christmas has passed, snowmen get to take it a little easier as they wait for the thaw. This one seems to have decided that there was even time for a cigarette - and why not? It's not like they have lungs.I grabbed this shot on the K10D and 21mm DA when we were out shopping. One of the great things about the DA is how closely it focuses - down to a fraction under eight inches. It was heading towards dusk and I had to crank the ISO up to 800 and shoot wide open. Still, the result isn't too bad at all.
The bad news for the snowman is that temperatures here are still hovering around the zero mark and they're showing no signs of budging. At this rate, he'll probably still be there in March.
